Building capacity for organizations and the community
Strengths
Our community has no shortage of talent or passion; what it needs are stronger systems that put those assets to work. The St. Petersburg Group builds that capacity—designing structures, partnerships and pathways that enable individuals and organizations to contribute at their highest level.
Government exists to serve its people. It has the resources and the charge to deliver value to the community much like a nonprofit, but it suffers diminished capacity under the weight of beaucracy and an operational ethos that doesn’t incentivize maximizing ‘profit.’
There are clear use cases, like our Lealman Exchange partnership, where marrying the resources and power of government with the entrepreneurial prowess of a private operator can lead to spectacular results. We’re expanding the boundaries of the public/private partnership in theory and in practice.
AI will redefine how people live, work, and create—and cities that embrace it early will rise fastest. Our region is positioned to become one of those leaders. The Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence, established with the St. Petersburg Foundation, exists to strengthen our community’s AI capacity through accessible education, strategic guidance and real-world services that help everyone adapt and compete.
Effective operations and management are the bedrock of capacity building. SPG partners with government and organizations to manage facilities, events and projects. We leverage our experience, partners and communication rails to deliver more optimal impact to the community.
